Their phone is the pager.

Customers scan a QR code when they order. When the food is ready, you tap once and their phone rings, even when it’s locked. No app to download, no buzzers to hand out.

How it works

One scan for the customer. Nothing extra for your staff.

Everything around the wait

The pager is the start. These come with every restaurant.

A board for the waiting area

Open the TV screen on any TV or tablet. Orders move from preparing to ready as your staff update them.

Works with your POS

Send orders from your POS with an API key. Ranna makes the QR code, and marking an order ready on either side rings the customer.

Your logo on their phone

Customers see your name and logo while they wait, not ours.

A wait time they can see

The order page shows roughly how long is left.

“I’m on my way”

Stepped out? Once the order is ready, one tap tells you they’re coming back.

One QR on the counter

Print a single code. Customers scan it and type their order number.

Ratings after pickup

Customers can rate the order once it’s collected. You see it in your history.

Why not buzzers?

Pagers work. They just come with a lot to look after.

Questions

The short answers restaurants ask for most.

Do customers need to download an app?

No. They scan the QR code with the phone camera and the order page opens in the browser. No app and no account.

Does it ring when the phone is locked?

Yes. Once the customer taps “Alert me”, the phone rings when the order is ready, even when locked. On iPhone the order page has to stay open in the browser; it can sit in the background, it just can’t be closed.

What if the volume is low or music is playing?

The alert plays through the phone’s speaker, so customers should keep the volume up. Playing music or a video stops the alert sound, but the page still shows that the order is ready.

What do I need to get started?

Any phone, tablet or computer with a browser for the dashboard. Request access, and once we approve it you add an order and show the customer its QR code. Printing is optional.

Do you collect customers’ details?

No. Customers don’t sign up or give a name or number. Each order link stops working 12 hours after the order is created.

Put the buzzers away.

Request access and we’ll set you up, usually within a day.
